About the Program
The Tribal Response Program is an enforcement program whose primary purpose is to provide the Yerington Paiute Tribe with enforcement authorities to ensure that hazardous sites (including brownfield sites) are assessed and cleaned-up in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Current funding for the program is provided by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). At the discretion of the EPA, the Yerington Paiute Tribe can also spend a limited amount of funding to conduct assessments and cleanups at brownfield sites.
